10 Epilogues Workshops

In 2024, Epilogues and FWIN are collaborating to host 8 weeks of inclusive workshops.

epilogues’is an accessible workshop based education programme using using TV drama, filmed testimony and this website to engage people in the everyday work of peace-building and responsible citizenship.  It does this by exploring, within a workshop environment that models democratic process, six key themes that are central to an understanding of violent political conflict – Violence, Loss, Revenge, Forgiveness, Justice, & Human Rights.  The exploration is deepened through direct engagement with the perspectives of both victims of, and the various parties to, the violent political conflict in and about ‘Northern Ireland’.

11 Calling All Potential Music & Literature Tourism Providers

Northern Ireland has a rich heritage in the arts, with a well-earned reputation for music and literature. Some of our finest works and performers, covering many genres, have reached all parts of the globe. But the stories and the talent are rooted here and are inspirers for our Nothern Ireland - Embrace a Giant Spirit brand. Now is the time to develop them and share them with our visitors on home ground.

As part of our ambition to further enhance the destination as a place for authentic culture and heritage, we want to increase the availability of innovative and demand generating tourism experiences across Northern Ireland. We are therefore inviting music and literature providers to attend an online information session on Wednesday, 6th December 2023, 10.30am-12pm.

Purpose: this session will provide insights into an exciting new opportunity, aimed at supporting providers to craft compelling, brand aligned music and literature experiences that can persuade domestic and global customers to participate, visit, stay and return to Northern Ireland.

Format: to facilitate attendance by as many providers as possible, the initial information session will take place virtually via a Zoom link.

13 NI Human Rights Festival 2023

The programme for the 2023 NI Human Rights Festival is now open. The festival will run from the 3rd to 12th December 2023 and contains an array of entertaining, informative and challenging events.

This years festival is dedicated to our friend and colleague
Maggie McBride who passed away at the end of 2022. Maggie was a cornerstone of the festival since its creation and a specific event to celebrate her life is a key part of this years festival activities.

We have several events focused on the overlaps between war, conflict and human rights in
Israel and Palestine given the tragic and appalling violence that continues in that region. We also have a specific fundraiser for War Child to support children living in global conflict zones.

There are events to celebrate
International Day of Disabled People, a focus on the Living Wage campaign, Business and Human Rights, the current climate and ecological crisis, rebel rousing Christmas carols and much much more.

Visit the festival website at
www.nihrf.com
to see the full programme of events.

Building our future together
The Integrated Education Fund (IEF) is a charity supporting the development and growth of Integrated Education in Northern Ireland.  We want a society where, increasingly, children from different traditions learn and play together at the same schools.  We know from extensive research the aspiration of parents for more integration is clear and now is the time to make it a reality.

We are recruiting for a key member of staff to help us reach out to more parents, communities and schools across Northern Ireland.

Come and work for the IEF – you’ll be working for a more inclusive and reconciled society.
