New round of funding open – BCPP

The Community Development and Health Network are opening a new round of funding through its Building the Community-Pharmacy Partnership Programme (BCPP).

BCPP is about local communities and pharmacists working together using a community development approach to meet local health needs.

Level 1: This funding is for those interested in: working on a local community-pharmacy partnership.  Perhaps these applicants do not want to commit to a large project until they’re sure of: what issue to focus on, what they want to do and who they should work with.  BCPP are here to support you throughout this initial stage and that is why we are now offering grants of up to £2,000 for a maximum of 9 months.  This funding will help get the project off the ground by developing ideas, partnerships and giving an insight into the needs and issues in your area.

Level 2: This is for those who have a clear vision of what their project will do, what issues it will look at, who it will partner with and how it will go about achieving its aims and objectives.  This funding is open to all constituted community groups and pharmacists and grants will be awarded up to £10,000 for a maximum of 2 years.

Level 3: This tier is for those who have already completed and evaluated a BCPP project and are now keen to sustain the work their project has already carried out.  If this applies to you, then you could be eligible for a grant up to £10,000 per year for a maximum of 3 years.  Applicants must clearly demonstrate how they have and will meet BCPP aims and objectives.

Closing dates:

Level 1: 8th October 2009, 18th February 2010, 10th June 2010

Level 2 & 3: Thursday 19th November 2009

Contact Sharon Bleakley, CDHN on 028 3026 4606 or email: sharonbleakley@cdhn.org / www.cdhn.org/bcpp
