BUILDING CHANGE TRUST - Community Consultation

10.30 – 12.30, Thursday 24 September 09, St. Columb’s Park House, Derry~Londonderry

NWCN invites those with an interest in helping shape the future landscape for the Community & voluntary sector in NI to this event.  Prompt registration is required as interest is expected to be high and places are limited.

The event will be of particular interest to individuals/organisations with elements of strategic planning as part of their remit.

There has been limited detail thus far on the Building Change Trust – in essence it aims to facilitate the NI Community & Voluntary sector in preparing for and negotiating what is a radically changing environment in the face of factors known and experienced by many of us.

Please see the attached flyer for information on the Building Change Trust and the context for this NW Consultation – this has been organised to provide the Community & Voluntary sector in the North-West with the opportunity to influence and inform the objectives and priorities of the Trust in what is a ten-year period of operation.

This invitation to attend this workshop is your opportunity to ensure your participation in a strategically important discussion.  You are invited to share this invitation with colleagues you feel may have particular interest and/or to display the flyer in your own locations.

RSVP to neola@nwcn.org or call 028 7127 9090 by Wed 16 Sep 09 (lunch provided and event is free of charge).

International Day for Peace

Come celebrate the international day for peace Monday 21st September @ Cafe Del Mondo , 2pm to 5pm

Music-food-poetry-readings-and supporting the call for an end to all conflicts and the promotion of a universal culture of justice

The Dalai Lama once said.......

Peace, in the sense of the absence of war, is of little value to someone who is dying of hunger or cold. It will not remove the pain of torture inflicted on a prisoner of conscience. It does not comfort those who have lost their loved ones in floods caused by senseless deforestation in a neighboring country. Peace can only last where human rights are respected, where the people are fed, and where individuals and nations are free.

PROMOTED LOCALLY BY SEEDS AND BEYOND SKIN... PLEASE SUPPORT US....
