FREE Energy Saving Bulbs from NIE Energy
Local energy company, NIE Energy, has some free energy saving bulbs to give to NI community and voluntary organisations that are helping vulnerable people. NIE Energy is keen to help people, particularly those most in need, use less electricity and reduce bills. One simple way to do this is to replace standard light bulbs with energy saving ones. An energy saving bulb uses a fifth of the electricity of a normal bulb so each bulb, when put in a frequently used light, can save up to £10 a year off your electricity bill. It used to be that energy saving bulbs were bigger than standard bulbs and either didn't fit or poked out the top of the lamp shade. That's not the case anymore. You can now get energy saving bulb equivalents of nearly every shape of bulb you might need, and they're nice and bright as well. NIE Energy is delighted to be able to offer bulbs so vulnerable people can reap the benefits of using energy saving bulbs in their homes. **There are a limited number of bulbs available so requests will be dealt with on a first come, first served basis. A typical amount of bulbs per group would be c.50-100. ** To apply for some free bulbs, please email Kerstie.forsyth@nieenergy.co.uk (include your contact details, details of vulnerable group you work with, number of bulbs requested, whether your group could take part in PR). |
