Invitation To Eastway Wall Art Project Exhibition
Creggan Enterprises are inviting the general public, and any interested groups, to submit feedback on their exhibition of draft artworks in the Ráth Mór Shopping Centre in Creggan for the proposed Eastway Wall Art Project. This project is funded by the Arts Council of N Ireland under its Re-imaging Communities Programme. The exhibition includes large-format displays of the People Make A Difference/Creggan Timeline mural and a range of other colourful and inventive ideas for the wall. These draft artworks have been prepared by ceramist Tom Agnew and Kevin Hippsley of Guildhall Press after several weeks of consultation with a wide range of interested individuals and groups coordinated by Terry McCloskey. Creggan Enterprises Development Executive Conal McFeely adds: “Already there is a great buzz around the exhibition in the Centre, with people debating the pros and cons of the designs and the contents of the timeline with numerous photos contributed by Café Creggan and Hugh Gallagher. This is exactly why we have mounted the exhibition – to let the local community view first hand, and comment on, some of the proposals for the Eastway Wall. Everyone is invited to view the exhibition during normal Centre hours and we welcome all constructive comments and feedback.” |
