NWCN Members Group

The North-West Community Network is the largest representative community network in the North-West. At present we have just under 200 member organisations. Our membership include local community associations, tenant, youth, family and pre-school, welfare rights and womens groups as well as local and regional branches of national voluntary organisations and community partnerships.

The strength of the Network lies in this large membership base. It is the member organisations that allow the Network the mandate to carry out its work and ensures that the North-West Community Network has a significantly strong voice on issues effecting the community and voluntary sector in the North-West.

There are several advantages to becoming a membership of the North-West Community Network. Among these are:

  • Network Update
  • Network members receive 10 copies of the Network Update annually.
  • Members can submit information for inclusion in the Update.
  • Once a year member organisations can have a leaflet highlighting their work included in the Update Mailshot.
  • Network Website
  • Members will have their organisational details listed on this site, this includes space for a brief description of the work of your organisation and a link to your website/email.
  • Members who register on the site will receive emails from the Network informing them of changes to the site or other information relevant to the sector.
  • Access to services
  • Network members can avail of the services of Network staff. This ranges from face-to-face support to administrative services.
  • On request members can request mailing lists for community organisations throughout the North-West.
  • Network members can access the internet at the Network office to research funding information etc.
  • Members are invited to all Network events including seminars and conferences.
  • Member Events
  • Specific events are organised for our member groups. These include Network Fora, Cluster Groups and Surgeries.
  • Membership Led
  • The Network is managed by representatives from its member organisations. This offers the opportunity to individuals to become actively involved in helping to support and inform the community sector and to influence public policy.
