Timebanking
with Transition Timebanking is
a radical alternative to the capitalist money system. Based on firm
principles of social justice, Timebanking redefines work so that
everyone’s skills are
equally valued. One hour’s work earns a
credit which can be used for another hour’s work. In
this way an hour picking up rubbish from the street earns the same credit
as an hour writing a legal report. We all can contribute to our
communities and meet our personal needs with a non-money means of
exchange. Transition

Volunteers
Needed- Can you give a few hours Bag Packing for Trócaire?
A gift such as
a Goat, a Well or even an Emergency Home can make a massive difference to
a family recovering from a natural disaster, drought or severe long-term
poverty. And gifts are all sourced in-country, helping local economies.

‘The
Things People Say....’ Celebration Evening Wednesday
30th November, 9-11pm,
SEEDS Cottage, The On Wednesday
30th November Fergal Barr will host a celebration evening to mark the
contribution and support of individuals to the development of his book,
‘The Things People Say....Political Quotations from the Northern Ireland
Peace Process’. It’s just a
small way of saying ‘Thank You’ for your help and as a result I have
arranged a small intimate affair with a ‘dollop of food’, a ‘sprinkling of
music’ and a ‘large measure’ of cosiness at the beautiful SEEDS Cottage
venue in a bid to wet your taste buds and provide you with an alternative
evening of entertainment. Alongside
food, Music and Song will be in abundance and will be provided by a
variety of artists including The Mad Hatters, Josh Barr and a number of
young and upcoming musicians from Link Music School.....so if you fancy
seeing just a little bit of our future musical heritage then why not come
along and join in on the fun. There is no
entry fee but donations will be gratefully accepted as they will go
towards supporting This event has
been made possible by funding from UnLtd Millennium Awards.
