Have your Say! (Groups/Organisations)
Are you an older person? Do you care for an older person? Do you belong to a group for older people? Age NI wants to hear from you!
Who is Age NI? Age NI is the new force combining Age Concern NI and Help the Aged in Northern Ireland. We work for a better later life today and tomorrow. We celebrate ageing and work to create opportunity in later life
How can we have our say? We want to
hear from older people, their family or carers about what the key issues
affecting older people are.
How will you use this information? Age NI lobby Government to improve lives for older people. We campaign on issues relating to poverty, health and social care and equality. The more information we can gather on how older people are affected by these issues the stronger our case will be. We need your help!
If we are not lobbying on the issue you are concerned about, we can, with your permission, share your story with an organisation or group that is.
Please note this is merely a reporting tool. If you require advice on a matter you can ring our Advice & Advocacy freephone number on 0808 808 7575 for personalised advice. Lines are open Monday to Friday, 9am - 4pm.
What do I do now? Peer Facilitators will be available to visit your group at an agreed date and time. They will spend approximately one hour with you, to facilitate a listening session with you, gather your views, and bring them back to Age NI.
If you are interested, and would like to arrange for someone to come out to your group/organisation, please use the contact details as follows:
Main contact: Maura McClean, Project Manager, Age NI Tel: 028 9089 2632/ 028 9024 5729 Mobile: 07809 553069 Email: Maura.mcclean@ageni.org |

In Memory of Ursula Laeubli - 13.10.1964 - 14.4.2011
Co-founder of Echo Echo Dance Theatre Company, Ursula Laeubli died on the 14th April 2011. She was and will always be our inspiration. We loved her and we will go on loving her spirit. We are terribly sad to lose her and very joyful to have had the privilege to have been her colleagues and friends.
There will be a small private burial ceremony at her family home in Switzerland on Wednesday 20th April. An opportunity to say our goodbyes and celebrate her life will be organised at a later date. We will keep people informed. In the meantime, if you would like to send messages to her family please contact us at Echo Echo. We have also set up an online memoriam page for any friends, students or colleagues wishing to share their memories and send their love.
Rest in Peace dear Ursula x
